Tasting
Brewing time:
To fully appreciate the complex nuances of our Creole Tea, we recommend a brewing time of 3 to 5 minutes. This allows the essence of each ingredient to be extracted, offering a rich, balanced tasting experience.
Quantity:
Use approximately 2 grams (one teaspoon) of our blend per 250 ml cup of water. Adjust the quantity to your preference for a lighter or more pronounced intensity.
Temperature:
Heat the water to approximately 95°C, an ideal temperature for brewing black tea without compromising the delicacy of the natural aromas and other ingredients in the blend.
Notes and flavours:
Creole Tea is a celebration of flavours, where the intensity of Assam black tea meets lively lemongrass, the sweet comfort of apple, the spicy energy of ginger and pineapple's tangy tropical touch. Marigold petals add a subtle floral nuance that balances the blend perfectly.
The history of Creole Tea
Creole Tea draws inspiration from the rich, diverse culinary traditions of the Caribbean, where cultural influences mingle to create a unique, vibrant cuisine. Like the region itself, our tea combines varied ingredients to capture the essence of Creole hospitality and joie de vivre. Choosing Assam black tea as the base evokes the historic trade routes that linked India with the Caribbean islands, introducing exotic flavours that are now emblematic of Creole gastronomy.
Ingredients:
Indian Assam black tea, lemongrass, apple, natural flavouring, ginger, marigold and pineapple
Storage advice:
Place your spice in an airtight, opaque container and keep it away from moisture in a clean, dry place. For a transparent container, follow the same advice and keep it in a drawer or cupboard to protect it from light.
